Why are you low on vitamin D3?
Most people don't get enough vitamin D3, because:
- There isn't enough sun.
From October to April, even bright days aren't enough for the body to produce it. - We sit at work instead of walking.
Even in summer, few people spend much time in the sun – work, school and home responsibilities keep us indoors. - We're wary of UV rays.
Even on holiday we often avoid the sun or use sunscreens, which block vitamin D3 production.
A lack of vitamin D3 means:
- Feeling low. You feel tired, lack energy, and your mood drops. Greater susceptibility to illness – your body doesn't defend itself against infections as well.
- Weakened bones and muscles. A lack of vitamin D3 affects your body's strength – you may experience aches, cramps or pick up injuries faster. Can it be fixed? Yes, but…
